Responsibilities
The Cardiology Lab Echo/Doppler technician is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound studies, and when not occupied with those duties, acts as the administrative and technical support for all procedures provided by the cardiology lab. These procedures include EKGs, Holter monitoring, event monitoring, stress treadmill testing, nuclear stress testing, trans-telephonic pacemaker checks, tilt table testing, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, trans-thoracic echocardiograms, satellite test transmissions and result coordination

Salary Range: $39.99 – $40.01 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited echo cardiographer training program
Preferred: AAS
Experience
Required: Two years echo cardiographer experience.
This requirement may be met through completion of a two year accredited training program.
Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiography studies to the satisfaction of the Kelsey-Seybold
Cardiologists.
Preferred: EKG testing, Holter monitoring, Event monitoring, and Transtelephonic pacemaker systems or
similar experience.

Preferred: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
ACLS
Special Skills
Required: Basic computer, CRT, and typing experience
Preferred: Speaks an additional language
Other
Required: May be required to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab
Supervisor or the Exercise Physiologist Coordinator
Preferred: Willing to cross train to support other Cardiology Lab functions, and expand services.
