Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Performance Parts Buyer to join our team. This role involves utilizing SAP/Ariba to manage sourcing and support vehicle launches. The successful candidate will perform market tests, analyze responses, and award sourcing of Performance Parts. This position also supports business case development for new products and ensures optimal inventory levels by managing low stock parts, issuing purchase orders, and expediting parts delivery.

ResponsibilitiesPerform market tests, analyze responses, and award sourcing of performance partsSupport business case development for new productsReview low stock parts and issue purchase orders to maintain optimal inventory levelsFollow up on past due purchase orders and track shipmentsReview open backorders on a weekly basis and expedite parts deliveryUpdate lead times, minimum order quantities, and reorder points as neededFollow all established Ford Purchasing Practices and ProceduresCollaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver successful productsCreatively seek and bring forward opportunities for process improvementsWrite professional communications to suppliers and coworkersPresent opinions and ideas in meetings with varying levels of managementFunction proficiently in MS Office software, particularly ExcelEssential Skills3+ years of automotive purchasing experienceNegotiation experience with suppliersStrong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make recommendationsIntermediate to Advanced proficiency in ExcelExcellent interpersonal skills and business acumenSelf-starter, fast learner, and problem solverAdditional Skills & QualificationsAftermarket or performance parts experienceExperience with SAP or MMPBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business, or a related fieldExamples of identifying cost savingsStrong communication skillsTeam player with the ability to interface with many cross-functional teamsAttention to detail with a high level of accuracyHighly organized and comfortable giving presentations to leadershipFlexible and able to adapt quickly to changes in directionWork Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with 4 days a week onsite and 1 day work from home. The dress code is business casual, and work hours are from 8-5 (flexible within 9-3 for core business hours), Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.70
