Key Responsibilities
Deploy and configure vendor performance monitoring tools in our highly customized web infrastructure
Integrate multiple vendor and in-house performance tools together to create end-to-end visibility of transaction flow
Build and maintain relationships with business unit-facing technical groups utilising the team's products, and provide performance consultancy to them
Assess new technologies and vendors for potential future integrations
Support operations teams as engineering escalation point on the plant and provide engineering on-call cover for the plants/products we?re responsible for
Position Overview
The Web Performance Tools Engineer candidate will be responsible to perform engineering evaluations and integration in the application performance management / web infrastructure space, on Windows & Java platforms. The primary function of this role will be client consultation with web application development, application support and infrastructure operations teams in order to feedback client requirements into the performance management tools, products and roadmaps. Also given the overall requirement to better integrate the teams from the retail and institutional sides of the company, close collaboration with other engineering teams is also a key component of the role. This will require the candidate to demonstrate a broad exposure to various technologies along with a deep technical knowledge (specifically in the web, infrastructure, and network space). Additionally, the candidate must possess a strong ability to coordinate and execute tasks across technology silos / divisions, and must demonstrate superior communication skills as to seamlessly operate with all levels of staff ? from senior managementto associate level engineers. He / she will also be responsible for identifying and resolving problems using structured troubleshooting methods, tools, and techniques.
