**Responsibilities**
The Perfusion Coordinator is responsible for the overall direction and administration of the Cardiovascular Perfusion Service. The Perfusion Coordinator is accountable to the Vice President of Surgical Services for the quality of and the overall efficiency of the service. The Perfusion Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of hospital and departmental philosophy, policy, goals, objectives, and procedures that pertain to the CV Perfusion Service.
**Essential Key Job Responsibilities**
+ _Defines the organizational plan and lines of communication and interprets and implements the scope of practice._
+ _Implements a perfusion scheduling process._
+ _Defines the qualifications, competencies, and staffing complement._
+ _Recommends annual budget within the hospital’s procedure and time frame._
+ _Participates in strategic planning to incorporate perfusion services into the organization._
+ _Serves as/or supports the ECMO Coordinator in strategic planning, staffing plan, and quality review for the ECMO program._
+ _Interprets and implements AmSECT standards, recommended practices and guidelines._
+ _Develops written policies and procedures for the perfusion department in collaboration with the perfusion staff and appropriate departments supporting the mission and scope of service._
+ _Develops and maintains supply and equipment inventories for perfusion services and allocated resources to meet patient/perfusion/physician needs._
+ _Other duties as assigned by management_
**Qualifications**
Completion of an accredited or approved perfusion program.
Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. BLS. Licensed Perfusionist in the State of TN.
Four years of experience as a clinical perfusionist
**Pay Range**
$62.21 - $90.21 /hour
