Perinatal Education Instructor

Position Description
Provides instruction to new and expectant parents on a variety of perinatal health issues. The Perinatal Education Instructor is a nurse with advanced training and skill in the area of Maternal-Child Nursing or a specific allied health field. Works with women of child-bearing ages.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and registered in the State of Georgia Certified to perform CPR by either American Heart Association or Medic First Aid, or must become certified within probationary period
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
International certification in childbirth education or related field. Demonstrated knowledge in the use of audiovisual equipment. Prior clinical and adult education experience. Certified as an American Heart Association and/or Medic First Aid BLS instructor, or must become certified within probationary period if teaching CPR Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
