Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.
Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
Collaborates with OR/Med-Surg/OB Directors for McLeod Loris & Seacoast in conducting educational needs assessments. Serves as resource to staff.
Plans and conducts Basic EKG course at least one time per year.
Promotes a healthy work environment as evidenced by engagement with staff, directors, & physicians. Participates in at least one staff huddle per month. Utilizes staff feedback in planning for educational activities.
Reports any trends, problems or unusual activities to the director of area in a timely manner.
Demonstrates appropriate handling and storage of medications.
Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes standard work for various OR/Med-Surg/OB procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge of HIPPA/EMTALA; Practices patient confidentiality.
Teaches/coordinates classes identified as needed.
Assures compliance with State and national regulatory agency standards.
Seeks out MD feedback regarding areas of educational responsibility.
Attends training on all new major clinical changes in assigned areas.
Maintains a safe, clean and organized environment as evidenced 4 out of 5 observations.
Consistently handles customer complaints promptly and effectively. Practices the GIFT service recovery approach: Give sincere apology; Identify with complaint; Fix/follow-up; Thank them for bringing it to our attention.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
BSN or equivalent leadership experience.
Current unrestricted RN License to practice in SC
Current BLS Instructor; Obtain/Maintain ACLS instructor status within 6 months of hire
