Operating Room Aide Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

Cleans equipment and PeriOp area between procedures and on a scheduled basis, in a timely/detailed manner and in accordance with Operating Room policies. Maintains overall environment (e.g. empties trash, cleans spills, removes soiled linens) on a continuous basis. Demonstrates an understanding of infection control standards and the knowledge of general cleaning principles according to hospital policy. Performs daily re-stocking of designated supply areas including linen, fluid warmers. etc. Delivers specimens, blood products, etc. Obtains additional supplies and equipment for the nursing staff as needed. Safely transfers patients to and from in the Operating Room. Performs routine maintenance on housekeeping equipment. May perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Operating Room Aide Requirements:

Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start Education - None required
