Job Responsibilities:

The Perioperative Support Specialist 2 assists with patient care while retrieving and delivering requested supplies, instruments and equipment to the operating rooms as directed by the surgical team. This role demonstrates professional and advanced knowledge of aseptic surgical technique and surgical procedures. To help achieve our mission, this role communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others while maintaining respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines. Demonstrates responsibility for self-development. Provides equipment support for operating room staff and surgeons before and/or during the operative procedures to avoid procedure and turnover delays.

 

 

Position Requirements:

Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start Licensure – Experience - 2 Healthcare/Hospitality Recent Hospital experience and/or previous surgical services experience.Education - High School or GED KSAs - Communication / Critical Thinking Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others. Ability to deal with multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment
