This position is located at Disbursing and Debt Management, Federal Disbursement Services, Payment and Print Solutions Division (PPSD). As a Peripheral Equipment Operator, you will issue federal payments and sensitive financial documents on behalf of federal agencies. Responsibilities As a Peripheral Equipment Operator, you will rotate through the following payment operations duties: In the printing operations rotation, you will access the Payment Automated Manager (PAM) system applications to identify and prepare files for printing on IBM 4100 high speed printers In the enclosing operations rotation, you will gather the appropriate supplies, so the print job is properly folded and placed in the correct envelope with the right insert, if required In the mail operations rotation, you will pre-sort and coordinate workflow so the jobs are sorted and prepared for pick up and mailing by the USPS While serving as the workflow coordinator, you will monitor the monthly payment calendars and coordinate with the pre-sorter to ensure all the mail required for that day's mail date is sleeved, banded, and labeled. Requirements Conditions of Employment A one-year probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
