Permit Expeditor
Description: A Melville-based engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Permit Expeditor. This role sits at the intersection of administrative support and construction industry knowledge, playing a vital role in securing approvals and permits for our projects from Municipal Agencies. Responsibilities: + Complete permit applications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements. + Act as the primary interface with Municipal Agencies, representing our firm and advocating for timely approvals. + Coordinate closely with our Engineering, Architecture, and Construction teams to gather necessary documentation and information for permit submissions. + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes to facilitate smooth project progression. + Handle any permit-related inquiries, issues, or revisions promptly and professionally, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and outcomes. Skills: + Permit application + Project administration + Construction administration + Project analysis + Bachelor's degree Skills & Qualifications: + A Bachelor's degree is a plus for NYC agencies as it provides greater access to NYC-based applications. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
