As the Permitting Assistant, you will be assisting the Permitting Technician. This role is responsible for entering information into the CRM, sending design sketches to Design Consultants for approval, analyzing allowable lot coverage and setbacks, and researching jurisdiction-specific rules and regulations for each project. You will also submit pre-applications based on preliminary research, order site plans and Engineering Documents, and notify clients once applications have been submitted and approved by the jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
+ Enter information into the CRM system.
+ Send design sketches to Design Consultants for approval.
+ Analyze allowable lot coverage and setbacks.
+ Research jurisdiction-specific rules and regulations for each project.
+ Submit pre-applications based on preliminary research findings.
+ Order site plans and Engineering Documents.
+ Notify clients once applications have been submitted and upon approval.

+ Researching municipal codes and ordinances.
+ Knowledge or ability to learn applicable codes and ordinances, geographical layout, zoning classification, and definitions.

+ Planning and organizing work activity effectively.
+ Organizing, setting priorities, coordinating, and monitoring performance.
+ Following up with building permit applicants and addressing concerns.
+ Processing information, applications, and forms with accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Dealing tactfully and courteously with property owners, citizens, developers, builders, City officials, and the general public.
+ Working independently under general supervision.
+ Multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.

Work Environment
8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, Onsite. Shares an office with the supervisor in a quiet, tight-knit office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
