**Permits & Environmental Construction Specialist** Date: Sep 4, 2024 Location: Guaynabo, PR, PR Company: Black & Veatch Family of Companies **Job Summary** Provide environmental support through the development or performance of field studies, environmental assessments and completion of permit/license applications for domestic or international projects. **Key Responsibilities** In addition to the duties of an Environmental Scientist 2: Prepares specific scopes of work Develops/implements work plans Provides schedule and budgetary recommendations Interacts with clients, agencies and project managers by attending meetings and providing brief summaries of scientific project information Oversees the required project files to ensure that document references, consultations, analytical methods, calculations, and rationales used in reaching scientific conclusions are maintained Evaluates contractor's proposals, data and reports May require participation in field work + Preliminary design including: + Area plan drawings + List of structures and proposed structure + List of critical repairs and proposed resolution + List of Permits required + Environmental and Historic Preservation Requirements (EHP) form + Access Roads + Vegetation removal plan + Access roads plan + Outage coordination plan + Revised timeline and project spend forecast (Engineering work) + Permit Support as Needed + Complete WOP + Outage schedule **Management Responsibilities** **Preferred Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications** Minimum of 2 years' of experience performing duties similar to those of an Environmental Scientist 2. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. **Certifications** **Work Environment/Physical Demands** Normal office environment.
