Our Melville, NY office is looking for a Permitting Intern who embodies this purpose.
What You'll Do:
Assist project team with the necessary preparation/delivery/pickup/deadlines of various permit submittal packagesAssist permitting project team monitor status of various applications through the various stages of the approval processPrepare and assist with necessary applications, fees, and signatures required for submittalResearch, understand, and update filing requirements for jurisdictions identified while maintaining data base of critical jurisdictional decision makersCommunicate and coordinate with various internal and external project team members, including permitting and design teamsCommunicate plan examiner comments in a timely manner as neededSchedule appointments, inspections, and other applicable meetingsDevelop and edit business documents from information provided Maintain organized filing/document management process for electronic and paper documentsOther duties as assigned

What You'll Need:
High School diploma or GED required, Associates/Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Efficiency finding firm knowledge and other relevant business informationSuperior customer service skillsTeam oriented with excellent verbal and written communications skillsOrganizational and time-management skillsHigh energy and assertive curiosityPrioritize and multitask as required to meet accelerated schedules or changes in strategyValid Driver’s License or ability to utilize public transportation if working in urban area
$18.40 - $27.51. Total compensation will be determined by other considerations such as experience, qualifications and educational background.
