The Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Med Tech is responsible forn the  day-to-day care of residents which includes ADLS, IADLS, light housekeeping, and assisting residents with medication abiding to Personal Care Regulations.

 

The PCA/Med Tech would:

Communicate courteously and effectively with residenPerform assignments of resident care as directed by supervisor.Transport residents to and from activities, meals, church services, hairdresser, etc.Demonstrate the” Five Rights” of giving medication.Demonstrate proper documentation on MAR including missed dose, PRN medication and discontinued medication.Demonstrate how to use record glucose testing  prescribed by the physician.Properly  store medication in cart locked clean, and organized. Daily count  narcotics on every shift with PCA who is relieving  you.Perform other duties as required.
