JOB PURPOSE
Quality is a key driver of competitive advantage in the Personal Care and Beauty and Wellbeing business. The BU & Quality Transformation Lead plays a crucial role in embedding a strong performance culture of quality within the business unit, ensuring every product delivers the best experience and delights our consumers. This role champions product safety and superior quality, leading teams with passion and precision to uphold the highest standards.
The Quality Lead will oversee aspects of product quality in PC Latam with a turnover of over 1.8 billion Euros. The role will be responsible for deploying quality strategy, governance, and goals that directly impact marketplace success, our credibility with customers, consumer safety, and the on-shelf quality of our products. This, in turn, impacts Unilever's reputation and brand equity by ensuring quality that makes our brands unmissably superior.
The role will have oversight of all PC UL factories and lead the transformation linked to making our brands unmissably superior with safe products while collaborating internally and externally.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Governance to ensure compliance of products by design and delivery.Partnering with the central expertise team on overall product safety, audit planning, and governance.Responsible for partnering in Latam business to develop a transformation strategy for BU on quality with consumer feedback and driving superior quality execution.Supporting in crafting and executing transformation strategy for PC BG Quality and Latam Quality BU to drive net productivity and consistent delivered quality.Member of the Latam SCLT Team, leading quality strategic programs and quarterly governance with PCLT.Define and deliver BU quality strategy and effective management systems.Partner to lead BU quality team and talent development within the function.Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality strategy delivery and next steps.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Work with the innovations and operations team on consumer complaints, insights, and feedback for UBS intervention and progress.Communicate quality objectives, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management and key stakeholders in BU and business partner PCLT.Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive in the market.Support BU teams in developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure fully compliant products - develop and maintain all relevant procedures in line with the requirements of global policies and procedures.Ensure that the QMS is maintained in a state of inspection readiness.Ensure systems are in place to manage local embellishment, re-pack, and co-packing work to meet all relevant standards and local requirements.Maintain an effective Change Management system to ensure business changes are effectively managed.Drive and deploy a digital Quality transformation program.Lead the BU E2E Culture Quality Transformation Program.WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Solid experience in Supply Chain and Quality.A proven leader who is committed, enthusiastic, and capable of mentoring and upskilling the quality team. Able to inspire and motivate team with direct and dotted line reporting.Has driven/been part of transformational cross functional project.Strong knowledge of product safety regulations and standards.Quality management expertise: Developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting audits, and managing quality assurance programs to maintain product safety and consistency.Previous experience as Senior Manager and Latam scope.English, Spanish and PorSkills
