About the role
Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking an Personal Trainer / Instructor to provide a superior level of instruction, analysis, and explanation to our guests, including but not limited to, Personal Training, Group Ex Class instruction, Fitness Consultations, Body Composition Testing (BodPod), Metabolism Assessments (RMR), Target Heart Rate Assessments (VO2), and Posture & Movement Assessments. Candidates should have a high level of knowledge in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and lifestyle disease etiology and display exquisite professionalism in written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.

What you will do

Delivers high quality both private and group fitness instruction that consistently meets and exceeds the members and guests expectations.

Handle all member and guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible, resolve customer complaints, assist customers in all inquiries in connection with club and resort services.

Posses a high level of attention to detail in order to maintain a meticulously clean and tidy fitness facility as instructed by the fitness manager.

Ability to develop and execute effective training plans that consistently meets and exceeds member and guests health and fitness goals.

Provide personal trainer shift coverage as scheduled by the fitness manager to satisfy member and guest demand and to maximize revenue.

 

What you bring

Mandatory Education: B.S. Kinesiology or related field; M.S. preferred by not required.

Any of the following certifications: NASM, ACSM, CSCS, PYT; Required to have ACLS level CPR

Minimum of 2 years experience in personal training and group exercise industry

Experience with VO2 testing and general fitness testing/assessments

Ability to read heart rhythms and perform a higher level of response care due to the nature of the testing.

Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States
