Personal Trainer - PART TIME
THE BASICS * Minimum 1+ year personal training experience AND certification from certified accrediting agency REQUIRED * Weekly schedule will be Monday - Thursday - Hiring for immediate fill PART TIME position - Afternoons to Evenings (1:30-7PM) * Potential for conversion to full time position is willing and schedule demands in the future * Ability to work in Matthews/Stallings NC with a commute that is 30 minutes or less is REQUIRED - Out of state resumes or relocation will not be considered for this position * Base pay will start at $15/hr. Additional pay will consist of sales commissions, spot bonuses and annual review/club performance bonuses. * Paid time off available after minimum service years have been met (1 yr+) THE IMPORTANT FINE PRINT An Anytime Fitness Personal Fitness Trainer (PFT) focuses primarily on helping all members “make healthy happen.” A PFT must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to create and conduct safe and effective exercise for a wide variety of participants. In addition, he/she must be comfortable and confident with fitness program design, program instruction, and influencing behavior change. The PFT does this by servicing Fitness Consultations, Traditional (1-on-1) Training, Small Group Training, Virtual Training and additional programming opportunities as deemed appropriate by the individual club. Beyond the traditional roles described, the PFT provides guidance, education, and encouragement and most importantly, develops relationships with all members to improve retention. AF expects PFTs to possess above average customer service skills and be on a mission to provide a “surprisingly personable experience” with everyone he/she meets. Trainers are responsible for the general upkeep of the club (equipment and floor cleanliness), sales and marketing for programming, and proactive outreach to inactive members to assist in retention efforts. Non-service responsibilities are duties performed outside of hours that have been ‘purchased’ by a client that require service (i.e.private, semi-private, group or virtual training sessions). Fitness Consultations New Member FCs (including research, review, reach out, follow up) Existing Member Follow-up FCs (soliciting, scheduling, delivering, follow up) Floor Time Anticipate members’ needs (water refills, equipment assistance, general questions) Get surprisingly personable (learn names, introduce yourself, learn about members) Proactively market club programs & events (FCs, classes, sessions, etc.) Miscellaneous cleaning & pick up Keep in Touch Strategy Completing detailed notes of all FCs, 1-on-1 sessions and group sessions Follow up e-mails Follow up phone calls Manage virtual touch points & Retention Score Review Non-Usage Report Check in calls for members who have not visited the club in the last 90 days. Prepare Educational Resources for Members In club displays Seminars Social Media Community Events Organize community outreach events Facilitate community outreach events
