Precise Systems seeks a Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) Technician to support our U.S. Army customer in Edgewood, Maryland

Duties:

Directly supports the packaging and work with chemical and/or biological hazardous materials Demonstrate a mechanically inclined skillset with a willingness to learn new skills and method Learn and assist senior technicians and scientists with handling and packaging hazardous waste for turn-in and transport to disposal facilities. Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE, full level A and B) and will require the candidate to enter the cPRP (chemical Personnel Reliability Program) to work with corresponding hazardous wastes

Required Education:

Minimum High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience:

Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with other teammates Demonstrated an ability to learn new techniques and expand abilities Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to assist with other duties as assigned Ability to complete additional training as assigned

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience wearing chemical protective suits/Mission Oriented Protective Posture (MOPP) gear or hazardous waste management.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and research laboratory spaces. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard laboratory equipment such as chemical wastes, biological materials, reagents, containment hoods and specialized research equipment.

Physical Demands:

This job operates in a professional office environment and research laboratory spaces. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard laboratory equipment such as chemical wastes, biological materials, reagents, large-scale test chambers, containment hoods and specialized research equipment. Must be able to move / lift a variety of containers including drums, barrels, bags, and boxes up to 50 lbs. This position requires use of PPE for extended periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a ½ an hour for lunch.

Travel:

No overnight travel is anticipated for this position. Some occasional local day travel may be necessary.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
