CGI Federal is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to support the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) a division of DOJ in Falls Church, VA.
Hourly wage: $38.21/hr. (non-negotiable)

The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to: skill set level, relevant experience and training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate the content of detailed background investigations; identify derogatory elements of information in accordance with current standards; and formulates administrative or adjudicative actions as necessary.
• Must demonstrate experience and knowledge using the Federal Adjudicative Guidelines and Suitability Adjudication Guidelines to evaluate controversial information to determine the suitability, fitness and/or national security risk that each candidate/selectee may pose to the efficiency of government service, national security, and the mission of the EOIR and the Department of Justice (DOJ). The resolution of such issues are relatively difficult and complex in that they may involve conflicting testimony, or sources and degrees of significant information in adjudication cases; overlapping and conflicting requirements within DOJ and EOIR.
• Ensure sensitive investigative data is handled and controlled in a secure fashion to protect the interests of DOJ, EOIR, as well as safeguarding the rights of the individual.
• Must be able to write clear and concisely, using proper punctuation and grammar to draft requests for additional information or the reopening of investigative cases to fully develop or mitigate inconclusive or derogatory elements of information. Documents the rational and action taken in each case to ensure all candidates are provided due process and to facilitate and justify agency action. Provide personnel security guidance and assistance to managerial and administrative personnel nationwide. Advisory services relate to problems or questions involving application and implementation of security guidelines. Interprets applicable regulations and procedures concerning personnel security.

Three or more years of experience are required in the listed duties
Must be able to obtain DOJ issued clearance and meet all security requirements
Must be able to pass CGI Federal background check
Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires US Citizenship
