They will actively seek out pets and pet parents to educate them on the benefits of pet training. Pet Trainers will deliver pet training services in accordance with PetSmart’s curriculum. This role will also be responsible for creating a safe environment for the people and pets in their classes and surrounding areas of the store. Pet Training Accreditation– PetSmart is with you every step of the way! We will work side by side with you as you participate in and complete PetSmart’s Pet Training Accreditation Program. Upon course completion, you'll emerge as a trusted Accredited Dog Trainer specializing in dog behavior and learning theory. Customer Interaction - Greet Pet Parents and answer their questions on the sales floor. Educate them about the benefits of pet training. Sales and Promotion - Recommend and sell additional pet training, health and wellness solutions with Pet Parents based on pet’s needs. Safety and Pet Care - Creates a safe environment for the people and pets in their classes and areas of the store. Culture and Recognition - Actively contributes to fostering our culture of Belonging and Recognition within the store. What we’re looking for Passion for pets and people and the desire to grow a fulfilling career. Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays Prior Pet Training experienced preferred; may be asked to complete Accredited in PetSmart Training Instructor Course and/or technical assessment.
