POSITION SUMMARY: A Golf Operation’s Intern will work in a variety of positions that are aligned with Big Cedar Golf’s and the PGA’s objectives to diversify and expose associates to the wide scope of job responsibilities and duties. This position hopes to solidify candidate’s passion for golf and guest hospitality and setup a career trajectory for future opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibility. Interact with guests in a variety of areas: Golf Shop, Outside Services, Caddie Program, Retail, Tournament Service’s    Responsibility. Learn and manage the tee sheet softwareResponsibility. Create hands on routine for Golf Shop Retail/Merchandising managementResponsibility. Develop strong understanding of Tournament Management and Caddie Management SoftwareResponsibility. Performs daily SOPs in Golf Shop and Outside Services    Responsibility. Develop strong guest relation and problem solving skills  ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:    High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

Candidates should have basic golf knowledgeCandidates should have golf skills and passion to pursue PGA membershipCandidates should have basic computer and communication skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimal travel between golf courses

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly: Computer work, walking, sitting, standing

Occasionally: Lifting up to 50 lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
