This position is currently open to all interested persons age 16 and older. This position is designated as At-Will. Essential Functions Instructs and coaches individuals in the game of golf. Provides golf club fitting services and swing instruction. Assists with tournament planning and operations. Identifies needs and key performance factors of students and participants; monitors and evaluates progress to develop performance. Assists in Golf Pro Shop and helps customers with sales and golf product questions. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training + 1 year of experience instructing and coaching golf. + Demonstrated knowledge of the game of golf. + Ability to exercise some independent judgment; to deal with the public, coworkers, and supervisors in a friendly and tactful manner; + perform basic mathematical calculations; + operate a cash register and calculate change quickly and accurately; + work extended weekend hours; + interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner; + display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of city employees, the general public, and other organizations; + communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; + complete assignments in a timely fashion; + understand and comply with all rules, policies, and regulations; + maintain prompt and regular attendance; + perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor, and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation. Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training + 2 years' experience teaching golf and working at a golf course pro shop/front desk.
