Position Specific Description
The PGD Financial Analyst sits within our PGD Business Services group, specifically the Year One Site Integration team, focusing on completion of new site transition plans tasks and liaison with our ROI stakeholders inclusive of wind, solar, battery storage, and distributed generation. This position’s primary function is to ensure the success of each individual project in terms of completing transition plan tasks in a timely and efficient manner, enabling the success of the operations teams upon completion of construction.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate and complete several large-scale, medium-scale, and/or small-scale, complex long-term project(s) within budgetary and scheduling guidelines,
• Manage all aspects of the day-to-day transition process to ensure timely completion as well as efficient and reliable outcomes,
• Monitors, recommends, and implements changes for improvement, especially based on stakeholder feedback,
• Leads and executes process improvement projects using Six Sigma principles
• Have strong prioritization skills, self-motivation, and can work with ambiguity,
• Collaborates cross-functionally with multiple departments – Engineering, Operations, Business Management, IT – to effectively identify business challenges, creatively problem solve, and align on solutions that drive business improvement,
• Extracts, organizes, analyzes, and reports data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisions,
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge and experience in any power generation or renewable technology, from construction through operations, or any part thereof.
This job assists in the execution of the Corporate and NextEra Power Generation business processes. With limited guidance, employees in this role are responsible for O & M and capital budget preparation and reporting, cash flow management, and financial analysis and reporting. Individuals plan, schedule, communicate, and coordinate the annual budgeting process, the monthly re-forecasts, and month-end close for the site, and ensure that all transactions are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Employees in this position also focus on the continuous improvement of spending, risks and opportunities, and costing methods in accordance with corporate policy and business objectives.
