Position Specific Description
Everyday our employees help us deliver safe, affordable, and reliable service to our more than 4.9 million customers. They are helping shape our company and how our customers see us. This position will report to a Regional Plant General Manager and will be responsible for driving best in class Safety and environmental performance, responsible for all aspects of operations and maintenance to maximize plant reliability and development of high performance teams to support 24/7 operations at one of FPL's fossil plants located in Florida.
This position is a developmental role for future growth opportunities within our Power Generation Division Operations Team. Upon determination and timing and under general direction, this individual shall be able to manage all aspects of site business and operations, achieving all production and business targets while maintaining an injury-free work site. Combined cycle power plant operations experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and experience within power plant operations, maintenance and troubleshooting Six Sigma Certification; Yellow Belt or higher Bachelor's in Engineering Job OverviewLeaders in this role oversee a team at a generation facility. Individuals are accountable for all aspects of the management and performance of both the physical and human assets in their assigned facility.
