Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in mechanical and electrical work for the maintenance and repair of light to medium duty processing and building equipment. This role involves working independently or with minimal supervision, applying mechanical/electrical knowledge and considerable independent judgment in the repair, overhaul, and remanufacturing of plant equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in tablet coaters, compression machines, blenders, granulation machines, and beads manufacturing equipment. Packaging experience is also valuable.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair light to medium duty processing and building equipment such as conveyors, elevators, blowers, sifters, burners, grinders, tablet compression and encapsulation equipment, vacuum & hydraulic pumps, forklifts, and air compressors.Work independently or with minimal supervision, applying mechanical/electrical knowledge and independent judgment.Overhaul and remanufacture plant equipment.Participate in new machine installations, working as a key member of the training team with the vendor, and conduct trial runs (iQ/OQ/PQ).Run air lines and manage other utilities.Conduct steam boiler inspections and general maintenance (boiler certification is a plus).Handle mechanical and electrical tasks for both manufacturing and packaging pharma equipment.Adhere to all FDA and OSHA workplace regulations.Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, including tablet presses, blenders, and encapsulation machines.Follow SOP and GMP guidelines to perform and document work accurately.Essential SkillsExperience with encapsulation or compression machines, fluid bed dryers, room-sized V-blenders, smaller mixers and granulation blenders with screens, dust collectors, and air handling systems.Clean room experience.Proficiency with coating machines and coating guns.High voltage (480/3 phase) experience.Pharma equipment mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair.Knowledge of solid dose packaging equipment such as cold form blistering, bottling machines, cartoning machines, electric eyes, heat sealers, powder sack fillers, box sealers, compactors, and small boilers.Additional Skills & QualificationsHVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Pneumatic, Boilers, Compressed Air Systems, Pumps, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems knowledge.PLC experience is a plus.General PC proficiency and familiarity with work order systems.Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously within a given time frame.Ability to recognize and address safety issues.Strong quality and compliance vigilance.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $89440.00/yr.
