Pharmaceutical Services Consultant
As the **Pharmaceutical Services Consultant** **,** you will manage and deliver contractual reports, documents, and deliverables to the Client related to the pharmacy retrospective drug utilization review (RDUR) program. You will also serve as the clinical resource to clients and others within the company. You will be accountable for confirming that operations are carried out productively, profitably, and sustainably. **Responsibilities** + Providing technical expertise and assistance for the support of pharmacy activities i.e., prior authorization, retrospective Drug Utilization Review (DUR), medication therapy management, and drug rebate. + Making clinical recommendations: As the primary clinical resource to the client you will proactively bring new drug criteria to the department with recommendation on coverage, clinical criteria pharmacoeconomics and pharmacy practice guidelines including RDUR criteria. + Providing ad-hoc query results to the client in support of clinical program recommendations. + Managing important contract subsections and deliverables and works directly with the client as needed. + Developing clinical recommendations based on contract or client needs. + Attending and contributing to the Conduent Clinical Services meeting, bringing back weekly recommendations to the Client and leading scheduled client meetings, incorporating information from Conduent Clinical meetings and other sources. + Reviewing requests for prescription drug services and complex member cases as well as participating in efforts to improve performance measures. + Facilitating required reports and client requests for ad-hoc queries using Cyberformance and any other Client reporting tools. + Retrospective drug utilization review: Rules and Research. + Conducting research as needed to implement new RDUR interventions, creating ad hoc reports, and answering client, provider, and staff inquiries. + Working with the RDUR team to maintain current interventions based on updates to clinical guidelines and treatment recommendations. + Completing RDUR deliverables and is a resource with RDUR clients for research, questions, and other DUR Board requests. + Traveling and presenting to DUR Boards as required. + Release Management: Assisting in the design and QA of new interventions, functionality, and reports in electronic RDUR tools. + Leading functional teams or projects. + Managing Client expectations and requests. **Requirements** + A Pharm. D. degree in pharmacy is required. + Must have a state pharmacy license. + Advanced clinical knowledge with at least 3 years of PBM experience required. + Basic understanding of federal rebate requirements. + Preference given for individuals with understanding of CMS guidelines on Medicaid, particularly those that govern drug coverage for Medicaid under Title XIX, SSA section 1927. + Analytical and problem-solving experience required. + Good written and oral communication skills required. + Ability to review, analyze, and apply literature to specific therapeutic situations. + Demonstrates to be a strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute clinical strategies + Functions autonomously, rarely needing assistance with routine assignments. + Examines own performance and takes every opportunity to improve. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $100,100-$130,000.
