Responsibilities SummitRidge Hospital –is a place for Healing and Hope! Our acute care psychiatric hospital is located in Lawrenceville (about 25 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta). We provide psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment to adolescents, adults, and seniors, in addition to partial hospitalization and other outpatient programs (includes a location in Athens). What Role Will You Play? We are currently hiring an experienced Pharmacist responsible for day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy under direction of the Pharmacy Director. Our Pharmacist is responsible for the following duties included but not limited to: Ensures compliance to all federal and state regulations for controlled substances. Assures appropriate handling, documentation, and control of controlled substances. Maintain adequate medication supply. Assists Director of Clinical Services and Nursing with tracking Medication Errors and Adverse Drug Reactions as appropriate and develops and implements improved procedures to minimize and prevent future adverse medication events. Ensures the integrity of the medication supply. Establishes specifications for the procurement of medications, chemicals and biologicals.
