Clinical Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the accurate identification preparation and distribution of drugs the monitoring of patient drug therapies and the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients served. Pharmacists supervise and direct ancillary personnel (technicians interns) working in their immediate area. In the absence of a pharmacy supervisor a pharmacist may be required to assume essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager. Duties include handling credit card payments according to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS). In addition to the normal background check a credit check screening will be completed in compliance with Dignity Health policy. This position provides care/service to acutely ill patients from neonatal through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served.


Qualifications

Required Experience:

Knowledge of unit dose systems IV admixture chemotherapy clinical pharmacology pharmacokinetics and drug use evaluation is required.

Education: 

Graduate of a School of Pharmacy with Pharm.D.

Licensure/ Certifications:

Current CA Registered Pharmacist LicenseBLS certification required

Preferred Experience:

Residency & ED Pharmacist experience in an acute care hospital setting is highly preferred.Previous hospital and clinical pharmacy experience is preferred.Completion of an ASHP residency is preferred.ACLS card is recommended.Bi-lingual is preferred.
