Pharmacist Position Summary

To actively coordinate, on a day-to day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients of PRMC, in compliance with federal and state legal, regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. This includes: (1) involvement with multiple drug distribution functions (inclusive of computerized order entry and/or verification of physicians’ orders, IV admixture preparation, etc.): (2) defined clinical/cognitive activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes (primarily via decentralized processes in the patient care areas) under the aegis of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee: (3) educational activities with pharmacist colleagues and other health care professionals (e.g. physicians, nurses, etc.) to maintain and advance clinical competency vis-à-vis drug therapy; and, (4) “supervisory” functions while providing professional oversight of technicians drug preparation and distribution activities.

Pharmacist Position Requirements

Education

B.S. Pharmacy or PharmD. graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy Current pharmacy licensure or eligibility in the state in which they will work.

Experience

6 Months to one year.
