The Pharmacist ensures compliance and adheres to all applicable state and federal laws. Supervises daily operations at the Pharmacy, including outpatient and mail order pharmacy, and repackaging and distribution of drugs to remote health center sites. Supervises Pharmacy Technicians and ensures the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescription orders. Performs clinical pharmacy services for our patients.

Responsibilities Maintains pharmacy operations and records in compliance with federal, 340B, DEA, CMS and Nevada state lawDispenses appropriate and accurate prescriptions and provides patient counselingSupervises pharmacy support staff, including verification of daily activities and assisting in performance evaluationsSupports the NVHC mission and utilizes its programs to help eligible patients access medicationsProvides a general knowledge of services offered at our health centersUtilizes drug information references as needed for dispensing and clinical servicesMaintains pharmaceutical inventory at appropriate levelsEnsures cleanliness of work environment during operational hoursSets the example of exemplary customer service for both internal and external customersEnsures security of pharmaceutical inventoryProvides drug information for NVHC providersUtilizes EMR for patient information needed for dispensing and clinical servicesUtilizes EMR communications template for tasking to appropriate clinic staffCompletes tasks as assigned by Pharmacy Director or ManagerEnsures patient confidentiality and HIPPA complianceAttends and actively participates in staff meetings as requestedInforms Pharmacy Director or Manager of inaccuracies or noncompliance issuesFollows all Pharmacy, EMR, 340B and NVHC policies and proceduresPerforms clinical pharmacy services as needed QualificationsGraduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Doctor of Pharmacy degree (or Bachelors of Pharmacy with 5 years of experience.) Immunization and MTM or disease state monitoring experience required. Must be professionally competent and licensed by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy. Required to maintain CPR and immunization certification.
