Job Title: Pharmacist
Job Description
The main function of a pharmacist is to conduct final prior authorization reviews. The pharmacist ensures compliance with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration. This involves monitoring, maintaining records for controlled substances, removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory, supervising the work results of support personnel, maintaining current registration, studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, and advising management on needed actions.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct final prior authorization reviews.
+ Ensure compliance with state and federal drug laws.
+ Monitor and maintain records for controlled substances.
+ Remove outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
+ Supervise the work results of support personnel.
+ Maintain current registration with the state board of pharmacy.
+ Study existing and new legislation related to pharmacy practice.
+ Anticipate legislative changes and advise management on needed actions.
Essential Skills
+ Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
+ Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
+ Experience with prior authorization processes.
+ Licensed Pharmacist with expertise in Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
+ Proficient in data entry and pharmacy operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Pharmacist License in GA, NJ, KS, AZ, NC, TX.
Work Environment
This is a 100% remote position, requiring a dedicated workspace at home. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with rotating weekends.
Pay rate: $55-63/hr
