Job Title: Pharmacist
Job Description

Oversee prescription dispensing personnel and operations during shift. Ensure proper technique, accurate preparation, and compliance with applicable laws for all pharmaceutical products dispensed during shift. Perform final verification for non-sterile and sterile prescriptions, including proper packaging, assignment of beyond use date, final inspection of the finished products, and proper directions for use. Train, coach, and counsel all technicians performing non-sterile compounding. Participate in shipping and handling of all prescription orders as needed. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.

ResponsibilitiesOversee prescription dispensing personnel and operations during shift.Ensure proper technique, accurate preparation, and compliance with applicable laws for all pharmaceutical products dispensed during shift.Perform final verification for non-sterile and sterile prescriptions.Ensure proper packaging, assignment of beyond use date, final inspection of finished products, and proper directions for use.Train, coach, and counsel technicians performing non-sterile compounding.Participate in shipping and handling of all prescription orders as needed.Essential Skills1 - 2 years of Pharmacist experience, ideally from a retail or hospital setting.Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.Order verification and prior authorization experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, The Compounder (PK software product), internet.QS-1 knowledge preferred but not required.Experience from a retail pharmacy setting is preferred.Work Environment

Working within a closed-door specialty pharmacy. Temperature-controlled pharmacy. Shift: 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm Monday to Friday. Opportunity to get into a specialty pharmacy environment and out of a retail setting. The pharmacy is currently undergoing an expansion project, opening a new location across the street, presenting opportunities for internal growth.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00
