Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience pharmacy operations and be responsible for reviewing prescriptions, compounding medications, and advising healthcare professionals on medication therapy. This role also offers the potential for career advancement to a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position, which includes a higher compensation package.
ResponsibilitiesReview prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.Direct other pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changing prescription orders.Ensure the accuracy of prescription order intake and the efficient fulfillment of orders.Dispense medications and provide support and counseling to nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.Advise physicians about medication therapy and counsel nursing facility staff on general health topics such as diet, exercise, and stress management.Provide information on products such as durable medical equipment or home healthcare supplies.Additional Skills & QualificationsPharmDExperience in a retail pharmacyWillingness to obtain licensure for multiple states as requestedLong-term care pharmacy experience preferred but not requiredPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $65.00
