Now Hiring a Long-Term Care Pharmacist

Pay: $62hr- $65hr

Location: Must be local to the state of Minnesota

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will review prescriptions for accuracy, compound medications, and provide expert advice on medication therapy. This position offers an opportunity to advance into a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role, potentially leading to higher pay and a day/evening shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.Direct other pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changing prescription orders.Ensure accurate intake of prescription orders and efficient fulfillment of orders.Dispense medications and counsel nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.Advise physicians about medication therapy.Counsel nursing facility staff about general health topics such as diet, exercise, and stress management.Provide information on products such as durable medical equipment or home healthcare supplies.Skills & QualificationsPharmacy License in State of MinnesotaBachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy2 years of experience in a retail or long-term care environmentPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $65.00/hr.
