Job Description
As a Pharmacist, you will evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration. You will maintain a patient/resident database, ensuring it includes current and past medical history, relevant clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications. You will also ensure that appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with the healthcare team. Collaboration with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support is a key aspect of this role. Additionally, you will document all communications with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families in the medical record. You will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of drugs and biologicals, as well as their disposal. Furthermore, you will obtain and maintain all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies and internal policy. Informing the Pharmacy Manager of any medication-related errors and assisting facility/agency staff with procedures relating to the safe and effective handling of drugs are also essential responsibilities.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $63.00 - $63.00/hr.
