Roles and Responsibilities

Medication Preparation: Prepare, compound, and dispense medications based on prescriptions.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with medical professionals to optimize patient care.

Record Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure proper medication storage.

Patient Education: Provide guidance on medication use, interactions, and side effects.

Quality Improvement: Participate in pharmacy department initiatives to enhance patient care quality.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) from an accredited institution.

Licensure: Active Registered Pharmacist license in the State of New York (or ability to obtain).

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.

Skills: Proficiency with computers and pharmacy management systems.

Availability: Must be willing to work onsite and cover evening shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

Residency training experience.

1+ years of experience with Epic systems.

Retail pharmacy background.
