\t\t\t\t\tThis is a pharmacist opportunity in an inpatient pharmacy. Delivers pharmaceutical care in accordance to the hospital policy and procedures with the provision of patient-centered distribution and clinical services, including medication information, education, thus ensuring patient safety, effectiveness of treatment and cost efficiency. Will be rounding patients in the hospital, working in the IV clean room, dispensing medications for patients, retrieving data for safe medication practice using PCIS, and properly recomposing PCIS entry errors whenever it has occurred.Delivers pharmaceutical care through the provision of patient-centered clinical service, medication information, education, medication preparation, and distribution that ensures safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. Exercises sound judgment and developed clinical skills to provide input to and implement the patient’s plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Works in collaboration and cooperation with the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specific tasks and/or orienting other staff to the department.

\t\t\t\t\tPharmacy Services • Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. • Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. • Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising on necessary interventions. • Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames. • Mentors and fosters a constructive environment that helps students, interns, and Pharmacy Technicians build confidence in their skills, knowledge, and abilities. • Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians’ workflow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections. • Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests from healthcare professionals and counseling patients on drug therapies.Clerical • Performs general clerical tasks, such as answering phones, updating patient information, or retrieving, entering, and revising patient Electronic Health Records (EHR). • Prepares and completes accurate documentation related to patient medical and departmental records as required.Safety • Participates in quality improvement processes, including updating and revising safety and procedure manuals and interdisciplinary projects. • Maintains a clean, neat, and safe working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations. • Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection control protocols.Compliance • Maintains the strictest confidence of all patient Protected Health Information (PHI) and protects all PHI from accidental, intentional, or inappropriate disclosure. • Prepares, administers, and documents medications and treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
