Assures timely compounding and dispensing of patient specific medications. · Develops and maintains clinical practice in oncology/hematology, cooperating with medical and nursing personnel to optimize the pharmacotherapeutic aspects of patient care. · Participates in supervision of the operations of the Cancer Treatment Center (CTC) satellite Pharmacy. *Education/Accredited Programs* · Graduation from a pharmacy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)** · Minimum of 3-years’ experience with at least 50% in oncology; PGY1 residency plus two (2) years of practice experience including 50% or more of that time spent in oncology or completion of a specialty (PGY2) residency**in oncology pharmacy plus one (1) additional year of practice with at least 50% of time spent in oncology pharmacy activities.** · PharmD Preferred** *Licenses/Certifications/Registrations* · Current, active license to practice pharmacy in New York State; or eligible for reciprocate licensure from another state. · Pharmacist Board Certification Oncology, required within 2 years of obtaining practice experience commensurate with eligibility for Board-certified Oncology Pharmacist exam. *Skills/Abilities* * Knowledge of current pharmacy and complex oncology/hematology principles and practices. * Knowledge of computer order entry * Knowledge of federal and state laws governing pharmacy practices * Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standard of care for pharmacy, oncology and hematology * Knowledge of nursing and outpatient clinic procedures as they relate to pharmaceutical services * Ability to work independently within established policies and procedures and able to manage complex pharmaceutical patient care needs * Ability to accomplish established program goals and objectives * Ability to exercise judgment, tact, and diplomacy * * *Communities We Serve* Located in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack mountains, Glens Falls is conveniently located a short drive away from the capital region and Lake George.
