(Night Shift)
The Pharmacist, Strategic Support is essential to the success of our closed door (Central Refill Center) located in (Gardena, CA). This position will provide back-up coverage for overnight pharmacies that are critical in taking care of the Customer Care Line and supporting our patients over the phone across the country. Provides a high level of clinical skills and knowledge in caring for our patients that helps our patients live a sustainable quality of life, be productive in society and improved health contributes to the success of AHF and our mission contributes to society in general. You will be responsible for the dayshift staff operations (Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians) and must be able to work independently. The attributes we desire that contribute to AHF’s mission include presenting a friendly smile, a helpful voice, a helpful attitude, to our staff, patients, clients and customers.
This position will work 4 nights during the week: Sunday – Saturday (4day/10-hour work shift). Days of the week may be scheduled to change, in order to provide coverage for gaps during PTO for other night shift pharmacists.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, LICENSES AND ABILITIES THAT ARE ESSENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS:
Valid State of California, Pharmacist license without restrictions and/or hold an American Academy of HIV Pharmacist Certification (AAHIVP), current or successfully obtain within 1 year of employment. University of Buffalo HIV Certification within 6 months of employmentA minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Pharmacist in an Outpatient, Retail or Hospital setting is requiredDemonstrated leadership experience required (supervising Interns, Pharmacy Technicians or Staff)Proficient with computer skills including: Pharmacy Management System (PMS), Electronic Medical Records System (EMR) and all additional electronic and non-electronic systems utilized by AHF Pharmacy and the AHF Department of Medicine.
