POSITION TITLE: Pharmacist DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy NATURE OF POSITION: Under general supervision, provides customer-focused pharmaceutical care and oversees the efficient dispensing, processing, and recording of prescriptions issued by physicians, dentists, and other authorized providers. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Current Oklahoma Pharmacy license as a Registered Pharmacist and in good standing with the  Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Communicates with providers to influence optimal drug therapy in accordance with approved protocols and current practice + Monitors patients' drug therapy and provides drug information to patients and health care providers + Oversees and directs pharmacy technician staff in the execution of technical functions + Assists in cash control in accordance with departmental procedures and complies with all record keeping and legal requirements of the practice of pharmacy + Using computerized data system, records prescriptions, checks for drug interactions + Verifies all drugs are labeled properly, including the addition of auxiliary labels + Ensures that only pharmacist or authorized pharmacy personnel under the direction and supervision of the pharmacist, dispenses medications, makes label changes or transfers to different containers + Ensures that all functions of the pharmacy are maintained and carried out + Upholds and abides by patient confidentiality policies and procedures + Actively participates in agency-sponsored staff training events (safety instruction, evacuation drills, OSHA training, etc) + Communicates with pharmacy director as needed to ensure department functions appropriately + Maintains professional appearance; follows established dress code + Performs all other duties as assigned + Floats to satellite pharmacies as needed ​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Powered by JazzHR
