Pharmacist I - Per Diem - Varied - Scripps Green

This is a per diem/casual, non-benefited position with 10-hour, varied shifts at Scripps Green Hospital. The schedule is a minimum of two shifts per two-week pay period. Training can be up to 4 weeks full time, or adjusted if only available part time.

We are the smallest of the acute care hospitals but that allows us to be a more cohesive and supportive unit. The pharmacy team is composed of highly skilled and knowledgeable pharmacist and technicians that are patient focused.

Responsibilities include:

Primarily operation focused centrally based; participates in direct patient care as clinical competencies are approved and on approved shifts.Documents the care provided to patients.Supervises the drug distribution operation: responsible for assuring safe and effective alternatives as appropriate.Contributes to the accomplishment of initiatives to improve the cost-effectiveness of drug therapy.Routinely communicates with physicians, nurses and patients regarding drug therapy.Demonstrates ability to provide age-specific patient care as established for area and job title.Demonstrates ability to perform competencies and prescription authorities as approved by the medical staff.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree


Required Certification/Registration:

California Pharmacist LicenseAHA BLSACLS certification required prior to being trained to respond to codes, can be obtained within 6 months of hire


Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

·PGY1 residency or 3 years' experience in relevant practice area.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree


Required Certification/Registration:
