Position Purpose
Ensures the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals through their proper storage, handling, evaluation, preparation, compounding, labeling and dispensing in conjunction with state and federal regulations and departmental policies
What you will do
Maintains proper records, documentation and provides complete communication as appropriate.
Follows department guidelines with regard to clinical interventions and provides drug information as required and/or requested
Supervises pharmacy technicians and maintains efficient workflow of the area they are working in
Advises other health care professionals on drug interactions, incompatibilities, side effects, and proper administration of medications
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (preferred)
Connecticut Pharmacists License
Board Certification preferred
PGY1 Residency training preferred
