Ensures compliance with USP 797. + Supervises technical staff and assists in education and orientation. + Checks all products prepared by technicians, including IV admixtures, restock lists, cart fills etc. prior to dispensing. + Demonstrates proficiency in the use of all applicable pharmacy computer system applications and automated dispensing device functions. + Conducts departmental quality assurance or other clinical programs as necessary. + Maintains established procedures concerning quality control, security of controlled substances, and disposal of pharmaceutical and hazardous waste. + Maintains a high level of professional conduct when interacting with other clinical and support staff. + Maintains professional license and requirements as set forth by the Board of Pharmacy. Demonstrates knowledge of current state and federal regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy. + Assists in the training, education and supervision of pharmacy support staff. Takes a leadership role in clinical projects both in and out of the department. **Scheduled Hours:** Per diem **Work Shift:** Days **Education:** Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree is required. **Required Experience:** Minimum of two years hospital experience is preferred. **Required Licensures/Certifications:** Massachusetts Pharmacy License is required. Eligibility for reciprocation will be considered.
