Provide clinical pharmacist services at Lourdes' acute care and behavioral health hospitals. Utilize computerized resources to ensure safe and effective drug utilization. Collaborate with other clinicians, such as nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals on a daily basis. Verify orders and processes orders based on established protocols. Provide consultation and patient education. Coordinate and closely review activities of pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient operations in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, state and federal regulations. A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal communications, customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and reverence for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.
Essential Functions
Provides leadership throughout the organization to Lourdes Health Network Mission and Values.Demonstrates fiscal responsibility.Performs the clinical functions that support the pharmacy clinical programs and meet regulatory agencyrequirements.Assists in developing, implementing and performing the department’s CQI process.Directs the daily activities of the clerical and technical staff to optimize productivity.Assumes responsibility for department in the absence of the Lead Clinical Pharmacist.Assists Lead Clinical Pharmacist in interviews, training and orientation of department staff.Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and specific needs of the
patients served.Assists in emergency situations including labor pool and codes.
Qualifications and requirements
Education: Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy required.Population Specifics: Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served in PharmacyExperience: Minimum of two (2) years recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred.Required License: Must have/obtain a current Washington State Pharmacist License or license eligible.Other: Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to work with culturally diverse population.Benefits:
