Position Highlights:
Pioneer the establishment of the IDS pharmacy satellite at Riley, a nationally renowned children's hospital. Affiliation with IU Health Investigational Drug Services, providing program guidance and access to a vibrant peer group.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and oversee the preparation of research-related standard chemotherapeutic medications and investigational drugs. Dispense investigational products utilizing Vestigo. Participate in critical research-related activities, including committees, visits, training calls, and meetings. Develop and maintain standardization of research-related drug handling across oncology and non-oncology practices. Evaluate protocol requests for feasibility and budgetary requirements. Operationalize new protocols, build study medications, and order sets in the EHR. Collaborate with the research pharmacy technician for record-keeping, shipping, drug ordering, and inventory management. Assist nurses and physicians with investigational medication use issues. Contribute to the resolution of investigational medication study deviations. Ensure investigational products and documentation meet standards to safeguard the integrity of clinical studies. Act as a clinical resource, providing expertise in drug information, side effects, and medication management.
• Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist.
• Certification is required, if applicable. (e.g. BCPS).
• Demonstration of > 5 years experience, pharmacy residency training, or advanced degree is required.
• Demonstration of leadership attributes.
