Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Buyer to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday – Friday, day shift.

Pharmacy Buyer Job Responsibilities:

Ensures that pricing, availability, and approximate delivery dates are given to end-users daily or at the time of ordering. Reconciles pharmaceutical purchases for pre-payment statements while providing usage reports for customers. Updates the Primary Vendor Information System and verifies and submits invoices to Accounts Receivable. Processes out of date item returns via contract agents in a timely manner, processes credit to prime vendor weekly, and processes all received items to their designated location within Pharmacy daily. Orders controlled substances via C-II safe estimates or other modes while utilizing DEA guidelines. Ensures that accurate report information regarding products, pricing and usage are supplied to end-users as requested and ensures that all recall information is communicated to the appropriate departments and/or other personnel as needed.

Pharmacy Buyer Additional Requirements:

Work schedule: 40-hour/week (Monday – Friday, day shift). Education: High School or GED.  Experience: Two (2) year of buying experience in a Pharmacy.  Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
