Pharmacy Clerk
**Job Description:** Scope As an Outpatient Pharmacy Clerk you need to know how to: Greets patients/residents/families/community and directs questions, concerns to appropriate person or destination and/or provides assistance. Answers telephone promptly and follow through with patient requests. Operates point of sale system and processes including ringing sales in cash register, reconciling sales at the end of the night, and preparing deposits. Manages the intake of patient prescriptions and answers questions about prescription status. Restocks over-the-counter area. Provides clerical support to unit as needed and collects and inputs data and maintains unit statistics as needed. Inventories and requisitions supplies and equipment. Performs assigned cleaning duties to ensure work and patient areas are maintained according to department guidelines. Maintains daily, monthly and annual cleaning schedules and documents appropriately. Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives. Identifies potential areas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction. Identifies potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff, and takes appropriate actions. Participates in departmental meetings, contributing ideas or feedback. Promotes mission, vision, and values and abides by service behavior standards. **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or equivalate. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Previous clerical or administrative work. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Previous retail pharmacy experience. **Physical Requirements:** Carrying, Climbing, Crawling, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Speaking, Squatting/Kneeling, Standing, Walking **Location:** Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital **Work City:** Billings **Work State:** Montana **Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 0 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
