In accordance with state and federal regulations, performs data entry and patient registration and responding to high volume customer inquiries, working under direct supervision. Follows standard operating procedures and performs duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information. Duties may vary based on assigned department.\n

Job Responsibilities\n\nUsing Village Lane Rx prescription data entry procedures and guidelines, processes new patient registration by entering data into appropriate system. Handles patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enters refill orders for processing. Troubleshoots to obtain missing prescription information and interprets medical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolves all data entry related exceptions.\nHandles correspondence to patients (inbound calls, chats, emails) and makes outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed\nPayment arrangements\nBilling\/rebilling claims\nAdjustment processing\nCreate Shipping labels for mail delivery\nResponsible for ensuring that all medications are accurate and sent to the correct patient before shipment\nAssemble packaging for mailed prescriptions\nProvides assistance to Pharmacists, both those in the facility. Identifies and communicates issues to senior level staff as appropriate\n\n

Qualifications\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nExcellent Customer Service\nGreat Attitude\nAbility to Multi-task\nMust be able to pass a routine background check\n\n

Experience\n

Customer service experience preferred and familiarity with CRM system a plus. Knowledge of general medical terminology and prior experience in a mail-in pharmacy setting preferred\n
