The role you’ll contribute:

The Pharmacy Financial Analyst applies technical, analytical and problem-solving skills to provide relevant, accurate and timely information. This person demonstrates competencies in decision support and reporting through converting raw data into useful and actionable information. This includes analyzing, producing, compiling and presenting information to support decision making. The position also requires the ability to execute special projects and assist with other duties as directed to meet departmental needs. Character traits include: strong work ethic, trainability, communicative, team player all with a positive “can do” attitude.

Compile monthly data required to populate reports

Effectively collect, analyze, and create solutions to report data

Evaluate financial impact of contracts

Analyze financial and/or operational information in contracts

Develop and track key performance indicators

Provide financial modelling, comparative analysis and bench marking

Reconcile insurance remittances to patient accounts

Review claims in order to identify potential opportunities

Research unpaid claims

Provide revenue and/or expense data for budget

Assist with data collection and validation requirements for accreditation and/or network payors

Work closely with pharmacy staff to ensure patient payment records are updated

Sufficiently document work and ensure cross-training with peers

Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness with data. Monitor own work to ensure quality

Additional projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance from a four-year accredited university or five years related experience in lieu of a degree

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

1-3 years of pharmacy or healthcare finance experience

1-3 years of data analytics experience

1-3 years of insurance claims processing and reconciliation experience

Understanding of 340B contract pharmacy agreements, legal requirements and guidelines.
