Location: Holy Cross Health operates two hospitals and four healthcare centers, all within a short driving distance from Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD.

**Position Overview:**
Is responsible for implementing and maintaining all pharmacy information- and technology-related processes. Directs the filling, emptying, and configuring of the dispensing units, and generates reports and monitors narcotic use. Completes data backup for the system and is the main narcotics operations technician for the director. Trains all technicians and pharmacists on the operations of the CII safe, Pyxis workstations, and Pyxis Connect. Trains technicians and pharmacists in operation of Cerner PharmNet.
Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
**Reports to:** Director of Pharmacy
**Minimum** **Licensure/Certification** **Required (if applicable):**
Pharmacist Licensure. Current licensure from the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy. (If out of state, eligible for licensure in Maryland; licensure requirements completely satisfied within three (3) months after employment.)
**Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:**
+ Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
+ Minimum of 5 years pharmacy experience.
+ Able to communicate effectively, speak, write and comprehend English.
+ Able to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff in order to meet departmental objectives. Must be able to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
+ Knowledge of software: Word, Excel, Power Point.
+ Preferred: ASHP accredited residency, membership in ASHP.
+ Understands complex workings within the software and hardware of pharmacy system.
+ Maintains communication with the software vendor concerning upgrades, new hardware and HIPPA compliance issues.
+ Is available when needed by other staff to trouble shoot and resolve complex issues regarding pharmacy software.
+ Experience and/or advanced training (ie. workshops and/or seminars) Pyxis technology support and maintenance and Cerner pharmacy systems
+ Maintains files, directories and servers needed by the department.
**Pay Range:** $57.68- $86.52.
